Here are a few things I’ve come across about new generative AI tools and startups that are looking like they’ll be having massive impact on the way artists and designers work. (There are SO MANY of them)
Typeface, which uses generative AI to help companies produce corporate creative materials in the voice of their brand, just announced a 65M investment. I think this is important because of the way it automates the implementation of brand values, but I’m wondering how this is going to affect the creation of brands?
Userdoc is a tool to make creating user stories, personas and user journeys. To me this looks like it would be super useful.
From this article on how companies are using generative design to achieve more environmentally efficient materials and products, I was struck by this comment : “Instead of making people want to buy your stuff, you invite them to make stuff they want to buy.” Here comes Bizarro product market fit.
Something I liked from this interview with John Benton about dynamic NFTs: “It’s important to mention … in the very near future, AI and ML models may be running alongside our art as real-time docents or co-authors, both in our process of creation and the display of work.”
Most of this article is about Runway (which is a mind-bending platform in itself that is going to transform how people make videos) and how it is being in design workflows at New Balance, but I liked this quote from Head Designer Onur Yüce Gün, who asks “if you can do so much, how do you make something relevant?”
